The FEKO Student Competition is organised annually by the FEKO team in support of engineering education and to promote the innovative academic use of FEKO. Any original FEKO simulation work may be submitted for the competition.
This year, the closing date for entries is 28 September 2012. The results will be announced by the end of October 2012.
Prizes

Student Prize: A state-of-the-art laptop computer or travel expenses to an international EM-related conference of the winner's choice, up to the value of US$2000.

Supervisor Prize: An online gift voucher to the value of US$400.
Procedure
- Apply by completing the online application form.
- Compile an entry that documents your work (e.g. write a short report, put together an article or create a presentation).
- Submit the report before or on the closing date, either as attachment to your entry form, or, if you have already applied online, by sending the report to feko_student_competition@emss.co.za.
Evaluation Criteria
- Clear definition of the EM problem.
- Proper usage of solution options in FEKO.
- Quality of FEKO model(s).
- Presentation of the results.
- Verification of results (i.e. comparison with measurements or results from other CEM codes or techniques).
- Interpretation of results.
- Overall quality of the report.
The complexity of the actual problem solved will not be a major consideration.
