Element Impedance Variations in Fractal Arrays

Fractal arrays utilize irregular spacing of antenna elements. The nonuniformity of the array causes variations in element coupling when compared to a uniform array of comparable size. Non-uniform coupling will have a great affect on the input impedance of the elements, which in turn, will have a great affect on the individual element patterns. This paper presents resultant element impedances associated with planar dipole fractal arrays.
