Optimum Geometry and Performance of a Dual-Mode Horn Modification
S.P. Skobelev, B.-J. Ku, A.V. Shishlov, and D.-S. Ahn
This article presents a simpler altemative to the Potter horn. This alternative has the desirable characteristics of a corrugated horn over a narrow frequency range, but eliminates the cost of machining corrugations. Many applications only require a narrow bandwidth, and can benefit from use of this design. The authors present easily applied design graphs, and graphs of the expected performance in a complete package.
