Installation Instructions

In case of problems or for advanced installations (e.g. unattended under MS Windows, floating licences etc.) please see the FEKO Installation Guide.

Installation Instructions on Windows

1. Download either the 32-bit or the 64-bit versions from the download table below.

2. Save file in a temporary directory.

3. Run the executable on your computer. Note that it will uninstall the current version for FEKO.

Installation Instructions: UNIX and Linux

1. From the table below download the file feko_distrib_5.5_xxx.tar.gz for your specific platform, operating system (OS) and licence.

2. Save the file in a temporary directory of your workstation (e.g. /tmp) and proceed as follows:

   gunzip -c feko_distrib_5.5_xxx.tar.gz | tar -xf -
cd feko_install
sh ./INSTALL.SH

3. This will start the installation script, follow the online instructions, which will guide you step by step through the installation process. An automatic backup of a previously installed FEKO version will also be made.
