Procedure

• Apply by completing the application form (see related items below).
  

• Write a short report (*.pdf or *.PPT presentation)

• Submit the report on or before the closing date.

• If your institute does not have a FEKO Licence you can still enter the Student Competition, please send and email to student_comp2008@emss.co.za for more details.

Prizes

• Student Prize: State of the art Laptop Computer or all travel expenses paid trip to an international Antenna, Microwave or EMC conference of your choice.

• Educational Institute Prize: Free Maintenance and Support for one year on all licences held by the institution at the time of entering the competition.

Evaluation Criteria

• Clear definition of the EM problem.

• Quality of the FEKO model(s) (e.g. good use of available options).

• Presentation of the results.

• Verification of results (i.e. comparison with measurements or other CEM codes or techniques).

• Interpretation of results.

• Overall quality of the report.

• NB: The complexity of the actual problem solved will not be a major consideration.
