The volume integral equation approach in connection with cubical cells and pulse-shaped basis functions is widely employed to deal with dielectric scattering bodies. In this paper, a convergence study is conducted showing that the required cells size for modelling lossy dielectrics strongly depends on the conductivity and not only on the permittivity, as this is frequently assumed.
