A Comparative Study of Different Methods for Computing Circular Polarization Gain

Mazen K. Alsliety and Daniel N. Aloi

Electrical and System Engineering Department, Oakland University, MI, USA

Several methods are reported in the literature for calculating circular polarization components. This paper summarizes three methods for calculating circular polarization gain. A cross-V dipole was modeled for comparison purposes. The right hand circular polarization gain (RHCP) of the cross-V dipole is calculated using two methods. The calculated RHCP quantities are presented and compared for relative accuracy.
