The E-Pulse technique is a resonance based radar target discrimination scheme which has been widely applied to identifying free space scatters. In this paper, the possibility of applying the same E-Pulse technique to subsurface targets is considered. In particular, detection of a hip prosthesis model embedded in homogeneous tissues at different depths is considered, and may be regarded as a preliminary study of detection of hip prosthesis dislocation.
