Geometry Capture and Scattering Calculations of the VFY218

In electromagnetic scattering analysis, there is a need for accurate graphical representation of scattering objects. CAD models for geometrically large objects are often imported for electromagnetic analysis after being graphically designed for other applications. In this paper we discuss some of the issues of geometry importation of the VFY218 and compare a RCS calculation of the VFY218 using FEKO with the Fast Illinois Solver Code (FISC).
