Modeling and Validation of a Low-Profile Circularly Polarized Antenna Developed Using FEKO

This paper details the preliminary development of a specialized antenna suitable for integration into the side of an Army platform. The operational requirements call for circular polarization with low profile configuration. As such, the loading effects of the platform are taken into account to understand and optimize the antenna's performance in-situ. The design procedure (using FEKO) will be discussed and measured data will be presented for validation of the computational model.
