Mutual Coupling Estimation in Relatively Complex Receiving Antenna Arrays

The methodology to follow for the calculation of the coupling matrix of a receiving antenna array, using the currents computed numerically by the software FEKO, is described in detail. The calculation is based on the recently developed multiple antenna induced emf method (MAIEM), which is shown to yield very accurate results for array elements that have relatively complex physical configurations and are illuminated by signals of arbitrary incidence, polarization and frequency.
