Overview of Recent Extensions in the Electromagnetics Computer Code FEKO and their Application

Although FEKO is already a very comprehensive and mature code for the general analysis of electromagnetic fields, it is continuously being extended in its ease of use, range of applicability, availability on new platforms, and performance. Some selected recent extensions of the computational methods shall be presented in this paper, like fast frequency interpolation techniques, domain decomposition using near– or far–field quantities, the automatic modal analysis of far–fields, or the application of physical optics to thin dielectric sheets.
