The Use of FEKO in Providing High Fidelity Radar Simulation

In this paper, we will discuss the utilization of an electromagnetic (EM) simulation tool, FEKO, to supply realistic radar cross section (RCS) measurements to Thales Raytheon Systems’ PC simulation (PCS) allowing PCS to accurately estimate live radar performance. The paper will discuss the major capabilities of this simulation testbed and the design structure which allows for rapid reconfiguration to fit other radar types.
