• Being applicable to many electromagnetic problems, FEKO can be used to study and illustrate principles as taught in many graduate courses.

• As one of the leading commercial CEM tools FEKO can be used for advanced postgraduate research projects.

• Save time by using an "off-the-shelf" CEM code instead of developing your own. 
  

• If you are developing your own CEM code, FEKO can serve as a benchmarking tool.

• Strengthen your ties with industry by using a product being used widely in commercial applications.

• FEKO is currently being used by more than 50 educational institutions worldwide in teaching the fundamentals of CEM techniques and the principles of electromagnetics.

Classroom Licence

Educational Institutes can apply for 9 “Classroom Licences” for each Educational Licence purchased or rented.  Classroom Licences are free of charge but limited to 512 MByte RAM and are for classroom use (i.e. teaching).  The tutor needs to submit an application in the form of a short summary of the intended use (i.e. course outline, course dates, number of students).

Student Competition

FEKO hosts an annual student competition to promote innovative academic use of FEKO.  All original FEKO simulation work performed by students may be entered into the competition, with the winner and his/her academic institution winning prizes.  Please visit our student competition page for more information on entry procedures and prizes.
