External and coplanar feeding for spiral antenna

Spiral antennas are usually fed in the center by a balanced signal. However, in some congurations, it is not always possible to feed the antenna in the center. In this paper, an externally-fed spiral antenna is studied. The antenna exhibits characteristics similar to that of the center-fed spiral antenna with an improvement in terms of polarization.
