Model Validation for a Waveguide Septum Polarizer

The stepped septum polarizer in square waveguide designed for 1.3 GHz (λ0 = 7.87-inch) was modeled using the Feko (www.feko.info) electromagnetic simulation software. We optimized probe locations and fabricated a pair of antennas for model validation. We describe the Feko model and present measured results for the square waveguide version compared to the model predictions.
